Everywhere I look there are adorable clothes for baby girls. Dresses, leggings, bows, and tights– you just can’t go wrong! However, those of us who were blessed with baby boys know that finding fashionable and affordable clothing for our little guys can be a challenge. Here are a few of my favorites for the baby boy basics.
CLOTHING
– Gap Kids:
Gap.com
Gap quickly became our favorite brand of jeans. They are durable and have a soft waistband to provide comfort. In addition to jeans, they also have some great shorts and tops, plus their jackets with bear ears are some of the most adorable things I have ever seen.
The secret to buying Gap on a budget is two-fold. First, shop the sales. If you frequent the Gap website you will notice they almost always have a 30-40%. Second, because the clothing is durable I often find it at local consignment and thrift stores in almost new condition.
Zara.com
HM.com
– L’ovedbaby:
Lovedbaby.com
L’ovedbaby is a beautiful brand of organic baby clothes. This is a great place to shop basics. From onesies to footies, hoodies with pants to dresses; L’ovedbaby has you covered. The clothes are reasonably priced, durable, soft, true to size and made of organic cotton! With a wide selection of colors, and new prints each season; L’ovedbaby will quickly become your favorite brand.
– Lulu and Roo:
http://www.shopluluandroo.com
A boutique brand that I found on Instagram. Lulu and Roo takes boring sweat sets and turns them into something fashionable. With a variety of colors and patterns that changes with each season, you will never get bored of all the possibilities. Make sure you read the size chart before ordering, I tend to order up a size.
T-SHIRTS
I love collecting cute little shirts for Luke that have fun sayings on them. The next couple brands are some of my favorites to find fun and unique pieces.
– CampLight Apparel:
http://www.camplightapparel.com
A positive brand with a beautiful message. Luke loves music so I knew this shirt was a must-have addition to his wardrobe. In addition to children’s clothing, they have a selection of shirts and mugs for mom too =)
https://www.tinkandkey.com
Having the chance to match my sweet baby boy is one of my favorite things. Tink and Key has soft tops for baby and mama. Sporting a powerful message of love and joy, Tink and Key has tees for the whole family. Plus a percentage of their revenue is given to charitable foundations!
Comfortable Pajamas: Softsie
softsie.com
Physical comfort is pivotal to helping baby fall asleep quickly and stay asleep longer. When I put my son to bed at night I want to know that he is wrapped in pajamas that are soft and nourish his skin. Softsie’s are deliciously soft! Infused into the Softsie Footie are aloe vera, jojoba oil, and vitamin E. These organic, all-natural ingredients are infused into the wonderfully soft fabric through a specially capsulation process. Softsies literally bathe your baby in nourishment. I wish these came in my size!
I would especially recommend these if your baby has sensitive skin or struggles with drying skin conditions such as eczema. While these pajamas alone are not enough to treat or cure any skin condition, I definitely notice a difference in the softness of Luke’s skin when he has spent an night in his Softsie footie pajamas.
Available in sizes 3 months to 2T. Separates are also now available and those go all the way to 5T.
Follow on Facebook and Instagram (@Softsie) or sign up for their newsletter to be the first to hear about fantastic discounts!
SHOES
– Freshly Picked
FreshlyPicked.com
Freshly Picked is a mama started brand born of necessity when mama Susan Petersen became frustrated at the baby shoe options available at that time and started to hand make her own. Many revisions later, she has perfected the baby moccasin. Made out of a soft, durable leather; Freshly Picked Moccasins are beautiful and luxurious with adorable designs to fit every style. Plus, Freshly Picked is continually coming out with new colors and patterns to keep their wardrobe fresh! ( Read more about why I love Freshly Picked HERE)

The little Oxford’s made by Love Winnie James are some of the cutest things I have ever seen! Whether it’s teething and drooling, or spitting up, bibdanas are the perfect way to protect baby’s clothing and reduce outfit changes. Plus they come in beautiful colors and patterns to add style to every outfit.
– Paisley Pockets Bibdana:

With a range of beautiful prints, these bibdanas are made of colorful cotton fabric and backed in an absorbent soft white flannel. These fit a range of sizes without being too bulky.
– We Are Minors Bibdanas:
http://www.wearemnrs.com
I LOVE the way this brand fits. Unlike so many other bibdanas on the market, We Are Minors curves the neckline so that it doesn’t bunch creating a tailored appearance. Additionally, there are two sets of snaps allowing you to customize the fit and achieve the perfect size! On their site, they showcase a wide selection of adorable patterns that change from season to season.
-Hemming Birds Bibdanas:
http://hemming-birds.com
The bibdanas by Hemming Birds are a bit different then all the others I have purchased. Instead of sewing together several materials to create a triangle shape, these are made by folding over a square bandana. This styling makes them especially beautiful and stylish. In my opinion, this brand fits a larger baby best.
HATS
Living in sunny Southern California, hats are a necessary form of sun protection for eyes, face, and head protection. A common misconception is that only fair skinned children need sun protection, however this is not true. ALL children need to be shielded from direct sunlight.
